What is better? WWW vs HTTP?

I don't think it is possible without 301 redirect. Google webmaster could help you if your site were new one but in your case its not possible. The only way to solve this problem is to put a redirection to your main URL. After this you can promote your actual URL and it will take a little time to resolve.
