I really like him! what does that mean?

ok so recently i started liking(is that how u spell liking)watever...i liked this guy that was friends with one of my guy friends. i told my friend that i had a crush on him and he told him that same day...but it turns out that he had a girlfriend:(every day from then on he is always giving me looks (not dirty looks) he is looking at me like he likes me too....in cl i sit close to the teachers desk and almost every day he gets up and walks over to sharpen his pencil when it is perfectly fine and he looks at me!....i know this may sound stupid but i just dont know what to do!!!!
