Who thinks this is wrong?

You are correct. Examination of world history reveals several instances of 'climate change' occurring at irregular intervals and lasting for differing periods of time. Occasionally only certain geographical areas are effected. To take two separate instances - The Thames river in London froze over on 23 December 1683 and remained so for some while. Again it froze in 1831. Has London suffered a continuous 'Ice Age' since then? Of course not! Remember the amazingly hot summers experienced in the UK during the 1960s and 1970s? Have we gone tropical since? Again, of course not! The UK summer of 2008 is reckoned to be the wettest on record. The summer of 2009 was almost as bad. Last month a swathe of northern Britain suffered floods caused by rainfall said by the 'Authorities' (The same lot pushing the Global Warming untruth) to be a once in a thousand years phenomenon. That doesn't stack up to support major permanent extreme climate change. If anything it supports the contra argument. Is our island about to float away to oblivion in the North Atlantic? I doubt it very much! It would seem the myth of Global Warming is perpetuated by governments world wide in order to achieve a greater control of their populations. At the same time it gives validity to tax rises in respect of materials vital to maintaining a reasonable quality of life and also, cynically enough, to fund the pseudo-scientific research into this imagined threat. Big businesses most certainly do not hang back from entering the fray. Anything they can claim reduces the production of CO2 appears in the market place almost by magic and we, the suckered public, get out there and buy it! Today's London 'Times' newspaper announced the UK Meteorological Service will examine their weather records back as far as 160 years. You can bet your sweet bippi the outcome will be maged out of sight in order to confirm this outrageous Climate Change con trick!
