Oblivion: weapon choice help?

So I'm starting a new game in Oblivion, game of the year edition on PS3 as an Orc, and I don't know weither to pick blade or blunt. I know that an Orc's specialty is a blunt weapon, but all of the good weapons are blades like Umbra, duskfang or dawnfang, goldbrand, Redwave, Chilldred, katanas, the sword of Jyggalagg, the blade of woe, sufferthorn, and a bunch of other ones. But the other two times that I have played I've been blade and i don't know if I should try using an axe. What type of weapon do you think I should use, and please write a little bit about why you chose that type of weapon, thanks.
