Help with MLA citation?

I wrote a paper and forgot to put all the citations inside it. So now I am adding that in there. My teacher told me to add the citation for things that aren't common knowledge. I'm not sure if i need to cite every sentence if they are from the same place. What if the sentences are right after eachother and are from the same source? What do I do?
